普雷沃菌属（Prevotella）隶属于细菌域，拟杆菌门，拟杆菌纲，拟杆菌目，普雷沃菌科（Prevotellaceae）。目前属内有43个种和1个亚种，包括双路普雷沃菌（Prevotella.bivia）、颊普雷沃菌（Prevotella.buccae）、口颊普雷沃菌（Prevotella.buccalis）、人体普雷沃菌（Prevotella.corporis）、牙普雷沃菌（Prevotella.dentalis）、栖牙普雷沃菌（Prevotella.denticola，现名：多形普雷沃菌（Prevotella.multiformis）、解糖胨普雷沃菌（Prevotella.disiens）、栖居普雷沃菌（Prevotella.enoeca）、解肝素普雷沃菌（Prevotella.heparinolytica）、中间普雷沃菌（Prevotella.interm­edia）、劳艾奇普雷沃菌（Prevotella.loescheii）、产黑色素普雷沃菌（Prevotella.melaninogenica）、变黑普雷沃菌（Prevotella.nigres­cens）、口腔普雷沃菌（Prevotella.oralis）、口普雷沃菌（P.oris，现名：唾液普雷沃菌P.salivae）、龈炎普雷沃菌（P.oulorum）、苍白普雷沃菌（P.pallens）、谭氏普雷沃菌（P.tannerae）、真口腔普雷沃菌（Prevotella.veroralis）和菌胶团普雷沃菌（Prevotella.zoogleoformans）等。
