Other catalogue information | "This strain can be grown in a mineral medium with waste lube oil, hexadecane and 1, 3, 5 triclorobenzene (500ppm) as a sole carbon source. In medium with lube oil was estimated a loss of 7.87% of oil and by IR analysis was detected other new products, also extractable with organic solvents. Produce biosurfactants in medium with hexadecane. Analysis to confirm the structure of tetraester compound and physico-chemical characteristics have been done. Strain 13-5 have capacity to degrade 1,3,5 triclorobenzene just to 99.879% in 96 hours of incubation. Assays for degradation waste lube oil in water and soils have been done, using this strain as a component of a mixed inoculum. Efficence of this degradation depending of nitrogen concentration. In submerged soils was achieved 29.83% of degradation. Analysis of aminoacids, menquinones, and fatty acids from strain 13-5 were compatible with other strains of Rhodococcus genera. Future applications of this strain in biosurfactant products and biodegradation of pollutants can be developed. We think that also could be possible isolate others products, because this strain produce a gel-type product." |
