The allele frequencies given were determined in a Caucasian population. Distinct frequencies have been determined in Negro and Bushman (San) populations. This probe detects a 500 bp insertion/deletion polymorphism which can be detected with BglII, StuI, PvuII, PstI, EcoRI, HindIII, and BamHI. Because TaqI and MspI cut within this fragment, allele sizes do not vary by 500 bp. Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: HindII, SstI, AvaII, RsaI, MboI. |
