Codominant segregation of the SacI polymorphism demonstrated in one family; demonstrated in 3 families for the TaqI polymorphism. The A2 allele of the SacI polymorphism results from the presence of an additional SacI site at 5.8 kb in 3 of V11. Run on 0.8% agarose gels and hybridize under low stringency conditions. Subcloned from lambdaJM15. Contains the 5 region of the gene. The probe detects the following invariant genomic fragments (kb): HindIII--19; EcoRI--11.2; PvuII--4.0. |
