Gallid herpesvirus 2
Gallid herpesvirus 2
规格:
货期:
编号:TS143680
品牌:Testobio
产品名称: Gallid herpesvirus 2
商品货号: TS143680
Classification: Herpesviridae, Mardivirus
Agent: Gallid herpesvirus 2
Strain: 648A
Applications:
Collect trypsinized cells from suspension by centrifugation and resuspend in chilled fresh medium supplemented with 10% serum and 10% DMSO. Controlled rate freezing is recommended.
Infect at 80-90% confluence by adding cryopreserved infected cell seed directly to culture medium.
With strains JM (v pathotype; ATCC VR-585) and Md-5 (vv pathotype; ATCC VR-987) can be used to classify new viral strains for pathotype.
Highly virulent in chickens; may produce disease in chickens vaccinated with HVT or HVT+ serotype 2 vaccines.
Positive for Mycoplasma: No
Biosafety Level: 2

Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country.

Isolation:
Isolated from chicken blood lymphocytes
Product Format: frozen
Storage Conditions: xa0Vapor phase of liquid Nitrogen
Comments:
Set up cells 24 to 48 hours in advance. Infect at 80-90% confluence by adding cryopreserved infected cell seed directly to culture medium. Adsorption is not required. Incubate 4-7 days at 38° C in a humidified 5% CO2 atmosphere. Harvest by trypsinizaion of infected cell culture. Collect trypsinized cells from suspension by centrifugation and resuspend in chilled fresh medium supplemented with 10% serum and 10% DMSO. Controlled rate freezing is recommended.
Widely recognized representative of the MDV vv+ pathotype. Also infects turkeys and quail. The virus is highly cell associated and must be propagated and stored as viable infected cells. A stock of infected cells at high density (107/ml) typically has an infectivity titer of about 106 PFU/ml.
Effect on Host:
Infection produces focal CPE in cell culture (plaques) consisting of rounded cells and polykaryocytes. In chickens, induces lymphoproliferative lesions (tumors) in peripheral nerves and viscera which cause paralysis and death.
Effects: xa0Infection produces focal CPE in cell culture (plaques) consisting of rounded cells and polykaryocytes.xa0 In chickens, induces lymphoproliferative lesions (tumors) in peripheral nerves and viscera which cause paralysis and death.
Recommended Host:

Recommended Host: xa0Duck or chick embryo fibroblast cultures (e. g. ATCC® CRL-1590x99)

Growth Conditions:
Atmosphere: 5% CO2 in air recommended
Temperature: 38.0°C
Duration: 4-7 days required for infection. Virus is highly cell associated and must be preserved in the form of viable cryopreserved cells.
Cryopreservation:
Freeze medium: Culture medium containing 10% serum and 10% DMSO. Controlled rate freezing is recommended.
Storage temperature: Liquid Nitrogen
Name of Depositor: RL Witter
Special Collection: ATCC
