The SphI site in the vector is 432 bp from the SalI cloning site. The SphI/EcoRI fragment contains about 500 bp of non-insert DNA (some from pSP64 and some from pcD). An XhoI fragment from MoIl3 (in a pcD vector) was cloned into the SalI site of pSP64. This fragment contains some of the SV40 promoter and polyadenylation sequences from the pcD vector. |
