Contains the SalI fragment from m144-2 which had been generated by adding SalI linkers to an RsaI fragment.
During recloning, the SalI end 150 bp from the vector PvuII site was destroyed. Neither KpnI, ApaI nor XhoI cut at this position. The insert is not readily excised, but can be amplified with standard M13 sequencing (forward and reverse) primers.
