Identical to Coe virus. (Schmidt, NJ et al., Proc. Soc. Exp. Biol. Med. 107: 63, 1961>) Complete destruction of cell sheet in HAm cell cultures occurs within 3 days. A21 is associated with human upper respiratory infections.
Effect on Host:
Yes, in vitro effects: Cytopathic effects in tissue culture
CPE, cell rounding and sloughing
