Product Format: frozen 200 µL per vial
Storage Conditions: xa0-70°C or colder
Comments:
ATCC® VR-1540P™ is a purified virus product suspended in 200 µL of Hanks Balanced Salt Solution with Ca2+, Mg2+ and 25 mM HEPES Buffer. ATCC®xa0VR-1540™ is prepared from original isolate deposited as ATCC®xa0VR-1302™, which was grown in presence of neutralizing serum to remove contaminating adenovirus type 1.
Effect on Host:
CPE, syncytial formation, rounding, and sloughing
Recommended Host:
HeLa (ATCC® CCL-2)
Growth Conditions:

Temperature: 37°C

Recommendations for Infection: Plate cells 24 hours prior to infection and infect when cultures are 80-90% confluent. Remove medium and inoculate with a small volume of virus (e.g. 1 mL per 25 cm2) diluted to provide an MOI 0.1. Adsorb for 1 hour at 37°C in a humidified 5% CO2 atmosphere, rocking every 15 minutes to redistribute inoculum. End adsorption by adding virus growth medium.

Incubation: 3 to 10 days

Name of Depositor: ATCC, L Potash
