Comments: The strain was recently re-identified as Trichoderma afroharzianum, a close sister of Trichoderma harzianum, based on the multigene sequence analysis.
Morphology: On PDA medium at 25°C after 8 days, mycelium white becoming green to dark green, tomentose. Reverse reddish brown. Hyphae hyaline, guttulate. Conidiophores with phialides in whorls of 3-4. Phialides 9-10.5 X 2.5-3 µm. Conidia green, globosa to subglobose, smooth, 3-6 X 2.5-5.5 µm. Chlamydospores terminal and intercalary.
