SalI cuts the plasmid in the vector MCS and in intron 1 of the minigene. SstII cuts toward the 3 end of the transferrin promoter and in exon 1 of the minigene. The NotI insert consists of the mouse transferrin promoter (a 3.0 kb BamHI fragment), the human LDL receptor-coding minigene (12.1 kb), and the human growth hormone termination region (0.62 kb).
