Applications:
In the mouse thymus, MD2 is specific for dendritic cells in the medulla.
The antibody cross-reacts with rare cells in the human thymic medulla and faintly with Hassalls bodies.
It also reacts with epithelial elements in a variety of mouse tissues.
Derivation:
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0 myeloma cells.
Genes Expressed:
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against mouse medullary thymic epithelium
Cellular Products:
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against mouse medullary thymic epithelium
Comments:
Animals were immunized with mouse thymic stromal tissue.
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0 myeloma cells.
