Disease: Cancer
Applications:
The antibody reacts with colon and small intestine as well as a variety normal and neoplastic tissues.
The antibody reacts with 16 of 17 colon cell lines tested.
This is one of a panel of hybridomas (ATCC HB-8232 and ATCC HB-8240 through ATCC HB-8252) that can be used to diagnose and classify human gastrointestinal tract cancers.
Disclosure: This material is cited in a US or other Patent and may not be used to infringe the claims. Depending on the wishes of the Depositor, ATCC may be required to inform the Patent Depositor of the party to which the material was furnished. This material may not have been produced or characterized by ATCC.
Genes Expressed:
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against a 29000 dalton glycoprotein (gp29) expressed in human colon cells
Cellular Products:
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against a 29000 dalton glycoprotein (gp29) expressed in human colon cells
Comments:
Animals were immunized with a human colon cancer cell line (HT-29, see ATCC HTB-38).

Complete Growth Medium: The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated RPMI-1640 Medium, ATCC 30-2001. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum (ATCC 30-2020) to a final concentration of 10%.
Subculturing:
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 10 exp5 cells/ml and maintain between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 cells/ml.
Cryopreservation:
culture medium 95%; DMSO, 5%
Culture Conditions:
Temperature: 37.0°C
Isotype: IgG2a
Name of Depositor: Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research
Deposited As: mouse (B cell); mouse (myeloma)
