| Derivation： | BE(2)-M17 is a clone of the SK-N-BE(2) neuroblastoma cell line (see ATCC CRL-2271) that was established in November of 1972 from a bone marrow biopsy taken from a 2 year old male with disseminated neuroblastoma after repeated courses of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. |

| Complete Growth Medium： | The base medium for this cell line is a 1:1 mixture of ATCC-formulated Eagles Minimum Essential Medium, Catalog No. 30-2003, and F12 Medium. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.

| Subculturing： | Remove medium carefully. Add 1-2 mL trypsin (0.25%) - EDTA (0.53mM) solution and allow flasks to remain at room temperature (or incubate at 37°C) until cells detach. Add fresh culture medium, triturate cells and dispense into new culture flasks. Subcultivation ratio: 1:20 to 1:50 at 1 to 2 week intervals is recommended Medium Renewal: Every 4 to 7 days. pH should be less than or equal to 7.3. |
