Encephalomyocarditis virus
Encephalomyocarditis virus
规格:
货期:
编号:TS213544
品牌:Testobio
产品名称: Encephalomyocarditis virus
商品货号: TS213544
Classification: Picornaviridae, Cardiovirus
Agent: Encephalomyocarditis virus
Strain: M-variant (TC passaged)
Biosafety Level: 2

Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country.

Product Format: frozen
Storage Conditions: -70°C or colder
Comments:
ATCC® VR-1479™ (M-varient)xa0is a cell culture passaged linage of the M-varient (ATCC® VR-1314™) reported to induce diabetes in selected strains of mice such as Balb/cBy and DBA/2 mice. Note that virus loses diabetagenic properties upon multiple passage in cell culture.
Effect on Host:
Rounding and sloughing with general degenerationxa0
Recommended Host:
NCTC Clone 929 (ATCC® CCL-1™)
Growth Conditions: Temperature: 37°C
Recommendations for Infection: For best results, infection should be performed on a 75-80% confluent, 18-48 hour old cellular monolayer. Prepare dilution of virus in minimum amount of volume (e.g. 1 mL per 25 cm2), optimized for propagation (e.g. MOI 0.01-0.1 recommended). Wash monolayer two times with PBS or serum free medium prior to inoculation. Adsorb virus dilution for 1 hour at 37°C in a humidified 5% CO2 atmosphere, rocking every 15-20 minutes to redistribute inoculum. End adsorption by adding virus growth medium.
Incubation: 4-10 days
Name of Depositor: ATCC
Special Collection: NCRR Contract
Source: ATCC®xa0VR-1479™xa0was created by serially passaging ATCC®xa0VR-1314™xa0two times onto NCTC clone 929 (L-929) cells, ATCC®xa0CCL-1™. The original strain was isolated from the heart of mice inoculated by peripheral route with EMC of swine.
