Comments:
To propagate, rehydrate in water (or thaw), and feed to gypsy moth larvae (and collect hemolymph), or dissolve in 0.1 M Na2CO3, 0.2 M NaCl (pH 10.8) and inoculate gypsy moth cell culture (and collect cell lysate and supernate).
Effect on Host:
Yes, in vivo effects: Kills 4th-5th instar Lymantria dispar larvae, 5-7 days
Yes, in vitro effects: nuclear swelling and inclusion bodies in cell culture, 3-4 days
