Subculture : seed out at ca. 0.3-0.4 x 106 cells/ml; maintain at 0.2-0.3 x 106 cells/ml; note that after thawing cell viability may be as low as 50%, but cells will recover quickly within a few days
Incubation : at 37 °C with 5% CO2
Doubling time : doubling of ca. 40-50 hours
Harvest : maximal density of 0.6 x 106 cells/ml
Storage : frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO
Mycoplasma : negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization, PCR assays
Immunology : CD3 -, CD13 +, CD15 -, CD19 -, CD33 +, CD34 -, CD71 +, CD235a -; image
Fingerprint : multiplex PCR of minisatellite markers revealed a unique DNA profile
