| 商品货号: | TS259210 |
| Cell line : | BT-B |
| DSMZ no. : | TS259210 |
| Species : | confirmed as human with IEF of AST, NP, PEP B |
| Cell type : | cervix carcinoma (derivative of HELA) |
| Origin : | these cells were thought to be "stablished from the malignant urinary bladder carcinoma of a 66-year-old Caucasian man (stage pTa G3) in 1989"; same donor as for cell line BT-A; however, DNA fingerprinting and cytogenetic analysis at the DSMZ established unequivocally that this cell line must be considered de facto a subclone of HELA |
| Reference(s) : | 15037, 15053, 15197 |
| Biosafety level : | 1 |
| Risk assessment : | The cell line is infected with papilloma virus type 18 (HPV-18). The cells contain several copies as proviruses integrated into the eukaryotic genome. The integrated virus genomes are incomplete and exhibit 2-3 kb deletions of the E2-L2 region. An activation and transmission of the HPV-18 during handling of the cell line is improbable. The cell line is categorized biosafety level 1. |
| Permissions and restrictions : | A |
