Medium : 80% RPMI 1640 + 20% h.i. FBS
Subculture : seed out at ca. 1.0 x 106 cells/ml in 24- or 12-well plates; optimal split ratio of 1:2 or less every 3-4 days; cultures may contain a high amount of cell debris; the accumulation of cell debris can be prevented by using new culture vessels every second week
Incubation : at 37 °C with 5% CO2
Doubling time : ca. 60-100 hours
Harvest : maximum density at ca. 3 x 106 cells/ml
Storage : frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO
